Born and raised in Winona, MN., Don had 24 years of food service experience before moving to Wellington in 2002. Here Don entered Culinary school and obtained his first job in South Fl at The Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach where he worked as assistant Banquet Chef until 2006. During his time Don assisted in both President Trump's and Don Jr's weddings. Don moved to The International Polo Club as Executive Sous Chef until 2017. Don was promoted to Executive Chef overseeing The Mallet Grille, The 7th Chucker restaurant, and the Banquet facility in the Pavilion which provided all the meals daily for the Global Dressage for WEP.
